POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced printing manager to head up the operations of a printing shop that does offset, screen, and digital printing on plastic products. This is a 25 person operation
Responsibilities for Printing Operations Manager
Assume responsibility all departments, ensuring that safety, productivity, staffing, utilization, scrap are all at appropriate levels.
Manage all personnel in all areas of the operation.
Establish metrics for key areas of measurement and hold teams accountable to achieve or exceed these goals.
Implement Lean Manufacturing and drive continuous improvement as a way of life in the operations, including constantly improving metrics in key areas.
Manage the P&L, driving all operations to meet or exceed the plan (budget).
Qualifications for Printing Operations Manager
BS or BA degree in Engineering, Management or other related area. May possibly consider experience in lieu.
5 years of experience in printing, including offset, Screen printing, and Digital printing. Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of printing production (must have much more than conceptual knowledge). Must have the ability and desire to work on the plant floor with operations teams implementing change and improvement.
10+ years of progressively responsible management positions in manufacturing operations, with the demonstrated ability to lead people, establish accountability, and get results through others.
