Job Description
PSM Supervisor

The position is accountable for maintaining the Process Safety Management program and the Risk Management Program of the plant as required by federal, state and local law. Additionally, the position will assist in implementing effective, efficient, and safe practices regarding energy using systems.

-Maintain a compliant PSM & RMP program at the plant
-Participate in ammonia system operations as necessary
-Develop and review the SOPs for the refrigeration system, ensure that all P&IDs are up to date.
-Understand interpretations of construction and safety codes as related to operating an ammonia system in a safe and efficient manner and implement such practices.
-Review all PMs for mechanical Integrity compliance, ensure that all piping is labeled and valve numbers are in place and accurate.
- Maintain all PSM documentation and training records that pertain to the PSM & RMP program.
-Organize, schedule and conduct PSM meetings, compile and maintain PSM action item logs, assist in completing items on the action item log.
-Effective communication with Project Manager and others on PSM/RMP related jobs/activities
-Set up training with the local fire departments, and the LEPC to include haz mat drills and tabletop exercises.



Requirements
-HS Diploma
-4 years operating an ammonia refrigeration system;
- 3 years general maintenance experience at an industrial facility,
-Working knowledge of highly hazardous materials and at least RETA I.

This position will require working weekends as needed to fulfill required job responsibilities. This position at times may require the employee to oversee, check and or observe situations/systems on second and third shifts
