Well established, growing organization with multiple distribution centers and a diverse customer and industry mix, has an opportunity for an individual with experience in supply chain management, process and analysis. The position will report to the Senior Supply Chain Manager of a dynamic organization with excellent growth potential and a great culture.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can work with minimal direction; manage people and process; collaborate with multiple stakeholders; mentor and develop staff; and maintain excellent customer relationships through outstanding service. The organization has high transaction volume, a diverse customer base and a national distribution network.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with suppliers to determine minimum order quantities and lead times to meet on time delivery to customer destination.
Monitor programs and work on a cross functional basis with Operations and Order Processing to ensure on time delivery targets are being met at the optimal cost.
Manage, develop and mentor the Supply Chain Team members to ensure their continued professional growth and development for future opportunities resulting from the companies continued growth and expansion.
Communicate with distribution centers as needed and provide support or information when necessary to make improvements to process or procedures.
Develop or enhance reporting and operational metrics for performance measurement.
Maintain departmental budgets and review monthly with the Senior Supply Chain Manager and VP of Supply Chain & Operations.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in appropriate business area of expertise required.
Minimum 5 to 10 years Supply Chain Manager experience.
Leadership ability and project management skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with both internal personal at all levels, as well as, suppliers and external customers.
Experience ERP systems and ideally experience with ERP system implementations.
Excellent attention to detail including data and numeric information.
Self-motivated and energetic, with a strong work ethic.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and especially Excel.
