Job Description
Program Launch Manager Summary:       
The Program Manager is responsible for the on-time launch of new program, while handling the following critical ongoing activities.
Program Manager Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure programs are on schedule with key milestones met.
  • Using persistence and follow up, lead identification and removal of red program issues.
  • Provide professional leadership to team members resulting in support, understanding, and active pursuit of program goals.
  • Manage program aspects including layout, production workflow, production equipment, fabrication and assembly methods on new launches and engineering changes.
  • Develop equipment and process for new launches.
  • Resolve customer concerns for new launches.
  • Ensure high quality of out-going goods, resolving customer quality concerns during launch.
  • Responsible for capital, tooling, piece price and cost analysis, with target to exceed profitability of quoted baselines.
  • Create necessary presentations and reports to communicate and guide the team and external customers on program issues.
  • Coordinate the requests for purchase orders for tools, gages, fixtures, equipment and packaging necessary to launch programs.
  • Manage open issues list and customer program management interface.
  • Lead cost estimating efforts on engineering changes.
  • Communicate engineering changes with all necessary functions.
  • Provide justification for capital equipment purchases.
  • Follows safety regulations and enforces compliance with company safety rules and regulations. 
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) is required.
  • Must have recent experience managing engineering, quality, program launches, project management in Automotive Industry.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external suppliers and customers.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical software.
  • Work to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and help drive results.
  • APQP and Program Management experience is a MUST
