T. Burks & Associates is currently recruiting for a
who lead and develop plant personnel while managing operations with focus on the production and stamping departments. The Production Manager will be a key component of the leadership team and will report to the Plant Manager.
Fosters a culture of high performance work teams, disciplined problem solving, and continuous improvement. Ensure the appropriate personnel, tools, and processes are in place to meet production goals.
Promotes safety awareness with other key members of the plant leadership team. Promotes accident prevention and employee involvement to maintain a safe work environment. Ensures employees have the necessary training and understanding of safety policies.
Leads the continuous improvement charge for the manufacturing team. Utilizes continuous improvement tools to drive operational improvements and ensures the entire manufacturing team is engaged and aligned through strong communication.
Participates in the planning and set up of changes to production layouts and team structures to improve efficiency.
Develops and motivates the plant assembly and stamping team to achieve goals. Implements the hourly workforce plan with HR - actively involved with the recruiting and hiring process of plant employees.
Partners with the leadership team (Plant Manager, Materials Manager, etc.) in defining the strategies, and performance goals for the production of all products to achieve targets in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
Works closely with the Materials and Manufacturing Managers and across all plant departments, establishing work procedures and sequences for manufacturing products to maximize productivity.
Reviews production, maintenance, quality, and operating reports to anticipate issues to ensure minimum costs and/or operational delays.
5+ years of successful experience leading assembly operations in high mix, low volume environments.
Experience implementing continuous improvement projects (5S, Lean, Six-Sigma)
Experience working with leadership and leading teams.
Technical background preferred.
Experience with leading the following:
Developing managers, supervisors and team members
Talent acquisition and recruitment
Experience with Lean and Behavior-based Safety approach a plus.
