Duties:

• Apply comprehensive mechanical/electrical skills to assemble sub-component level parts to be attached to higher level assemblies using manual and power tools, fixtures, hoists, and precision measuring equipment
• Must be able to interpret bill of materials and read basic blueprints and schematics.  Follow written procedures where required and document procedures as necessary
• Exercise an advanced level of trouble-shooting skills on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic/electrical operating systems.  Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances
• Assemble small to large mechanical components,  routing wires, installing low voltage electrical and electronic components such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels according to specifications
• Able to grasp instructions quickly in order to complete assigned tasks with little supervision
• Keep supervisor informed of critical shortages which effect assembly build
• Perform special assignments and all other duties as deemed necessary by the department manager or supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Vocational or accredited certification/s within the electrical/mechanical field is preferred
• Must have 3-5 years of advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience with an original equipment manufacturer
• Lean experience a plus
• Self- motivated, detail oriented, energetic and a team player
• Furnish own tools; (a list will be provided)
• Heavy lifting required (75 lbs.); with or without assistance
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
