Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy of all incoming, in process and finished goods product. Conducts regular cycle counts and reconciles variances. Verifies the accuracy of all production job transactions daily. Analyzes inventory shelf life and minimizes Excess and Obsolescence (E&O) of the inventory cost impact.
Additional requirements, but not limited are, analyzing current inventory levels while sustaining efficient supply and material requirements for Retail and Wholesale Distribution Operations. Inventory Analyst I will participate in meetings with management, sales, and quality to understand customer and vendor requirements concerning products and services. The Analyst will utilize computer and inventory management systems to generate reports and inventory analysis, based on material demand. Position also includes assisting warehouse management in maintenance of locations (pick, fixed, static, bulk, etc.).
Reviews and follows-up on Cycle Counts;
Provides Solutions to Work cells, Planners, and Management;
Evaluates and maintains warehouse locations;
Analyzes performance metrics;
Reviews and Analyzes material flow;
Authorizes adjustments to inventory discrepancies;
Provide follow-up data on Financial Reports (i.e.: Report as Finished variations, consumption, scrap, etc.);
Leads or participates on Continuous Improvement;
Ensures that orders are placed and received appropriately in a timely manner;
Informs management of potential risk with materials;
Identify excess inventory opportunities and initiate necessary inventory transfers and production requests to facilitate inventory availability and optimize inventory turnover;
Maintains current and historical reference material on shipping cost, logistics, deliveries etc.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Requires the ability to:
exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments;
manage and manipulate data in SQL, Excel, and Access;
monitor key performance indicators (KPI), and analyze performance data, to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives;
prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, reports and summaries of results, accomplishments, and future plans with projected wins;
effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general organization;
define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
write simple correspondence;
understand visual aids;
apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions;
work with standardized situations with occasional variables;
read and comprehend instructions;
perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions, and decimals;compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graph.
Have a working knowledge of MRPII, ERP, Inventory Control, Dynamics AX, APICS concepts.
3-5 years experience in Materials Analysis.
