Our client is looking for a maintenance with some experience in maintenance in an industrial setting.  The work is hard but rewarding.  Should have some background in mechanical and electrical for troubleshooting, maintenance, and preventative maintenance.  This position analyzes electrical, mechanical & operational problems with equipment and initiates appropriate corrective action.  This position is responsible for change-overs on equipment and performs scheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance functions.  Uniforms, safety gear, shoes and tools provided. Rotating Shift.
  • Inspect machines and equipment to locate problems and reasons for malfunction
  • Dismantles equipment & remove parts for repair using hand tools, power tools, jacks, cranes, & hoists
  • Lubricate or apply adhesives to machines, Machine parts or other equipment as required by specified procedures
  • Install, replace of change machine parts and attachments as needed
  • Locate damaged air & hydraulic pipes on machines and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe
  • Set up operate tools such as drill press, grinder, welding equipment, & other to make or repair parts
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Perform tests on machines for troubleshooting purposes or to verify repairs were successful
  • Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and software
  • Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation, and for defects such as loose connections and frayed wires
  • Install repaired equipment in various settings
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as cleaning, test runs
  • Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components – replacing worn parts such as gaskets and seals in watertight electrical equipment
  • Maintain equipment logs
  • Calibrate Testing instruments
Should have all or some of the following:
  • High School Diploma or GED  (Technical Trade School, Military Training or College preferred)
  • Experience with Mechanical and Electrical repairs including operating power tools, drills, grinders, etc.
  • Stick welding experience
  • Experience with operation functions of micrometers and the ability to read them
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic (Cylinders, air valves, and/or air compressors) experience needed
  • PLC knowledge and experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of frequency drives and operational functions
  • Knowledge of 3 phase power 277 volt and 480 volt
  • Knowledge of gearbox ratios
