CNC Programmer Machinist -- $31-34/Hr. plus OVT

Needs either an Associates Degree (technical) and 6 to 8 years experience in CNC programming and operation, OR HS Diploma and 8 to 10 years experience in CNC programming and operation.

Job Summary: Programs, operates, and maintains CNC production equipment for the production of injection molds.

Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Downloads requirement data into CAM software, and creates machining program with correct tooling and feed-rates 2. Works off of sequences to create roughing and finishing machine paths 3. Performs his/her own setups 4. Works with the Supervisor, Scheduler, and Shop Foreman to understand which tools are to be machined, and in what order they are scheduled 5. Works with the designers to verify models and which tools and parts are to be machined 6. Runs multiple machines simultaneously 7. Inspects tools such as mic’s, calipers, and height gauges 8. Maintains CNC tooling inventory.  This person will program 1 machine typically with 3 or 5 axis.

 
Manual Machinist -- $22-24.50/Hr plus OVT
 Will consider either HS Diploma and 8 years of experience in machining OR Associates in Technical area and 6 plus years experience in machining.  Relocation assistance is provided

Summary of Job: Performs manual machining of molds and parts using mills, drills, grinders, and lathes including hand fitting of cavities, cores, and components; and polishing of tools.

Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Performs conventional machining, including the following: a. Lathe work – turning, drilling, threading b. Tool Sharpening c. Mill work d. Surface grinding e. Welding f. Drilling g. Tapping/Threading h. Polishing 2. Performs own setups 3. Works with Mold Makers to understand which tools and parts are to be machined, and in what order they are scheduled 4. Works with Mold Makers to ensure the proper steps are followed 5. Inspects tools/equipment such as mic’s, calipers, and height gauges
