Director of Human Resources - Corporate
 
Salary $160,000 - $200,000 + Bonus & Benefits & Paid Relocation to St. Louis, MO
 
Growing global manufacturing company has a position for a Corporate Human Resources Director.  You’ll be a major contributor to the Corporate HR team focusing on engaging directly in the area required to accomplish the goals and objectives to General HR activities, employee relations, policy development and implementation, corporate record keeping, recruiting and affirmative action.  This includes the EEO activities, training, development, special corporate-wide programs, and general communications.  The Director will ensure compliance with all Corporate and Government regulations and the laws within the areas of responsibilities.
 
The heart of the Global Compensation Senior Human Resources Manager’s job will be to:
  • Lead global salary administration, merit budget, and variable compensation pay planning processes
  • Monitor trends in compensation, recognition programs, & rewards and make recommendations for changes
  • Develop, monitor, and recommend salary policy, strategy, and administrative procedures using Hay Job Evaluation Methodology.
  • Lead your team as they evaluate current employee compensation packages, develop new packages for new positions, and monitor existing compensation programs
  • Manage the global payroll vendor relationship with the external vendors
  • Support the commitment to EEO & other compliance issues.
 
This Director role will provide Day to Day HR client support to Corporate Organization to include all locations as well as remote sites.  You will support business objectives and key organizational priorities.  The Director will provide oversight for administration for several programs to include Company Corporate Charitable Trusts, Good Government funds, corporate-wide service awards, and Educational assistance.  You will provide guidance and counsel to management for employee performance issues and will develop performance improvement plans.  In this role, you will conduct investigations into alleged unethical behavior and conduct, policy violations and harassments.  You will exercise leadership in recruiting and affirmative action plans.  You will also coordinate with staff to design, develop, and maintain HR metrics and benchmark data.  The HR Director will also assist in the development of annual HR budgets and manage the business priorities.

As this is a highly visible position and will be responsible for people’s monies, we are seeking candidates with specific accomplishments & experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related discipline is a must, prefer an MBA and PHR or SHRM Certification preferred
  • Minimum of  10 years of broad HR Management experience
  • Thorough understanding of business operations & processes in a manufacturing company
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft or other HRIS systems
  • Strong knowledge of FLSA, AAP/EEO, Title Vll, ADA/ADEA, FMLA, etc.
  • Ability to align internal and external resources
  • Ability to build relationships and work well across functions, including the ability to work constructively through others
  • Effectively and efficiently administer day-to-day work of managing people within the organization
  • Ability to coach managers and employees through complex issues
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written & verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop your direct reports as well as build strong relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization across the globe
  • Experience in international/global business & HR experience is a huge plus.
