The Role: The focus of Director of HR-Talent Management is making connections with people, motivating and inspiring them to achieve results. The core of this position requires a goal-oriented and motivational team builder and organization developer, poised and engaging, with an empathetic, enthusiastic communication style. The work involves driving toward results by gaining the commitment and buy-in of key partners. The job has variety of tasks, is dynamic and requires regularly meeting and pro-actively establishing relationships with new groups and enlisting their support with a high degree of “selling” ideas and policies. The Responsibilities: The Director of HR – Talent Management provides organizational support for talent acquisition, talent management, HRIS administration, and other areas of human resources. For talent acquisition, this role contributes to the development of and provides support for the execution of the organization’s recruiting strategies to develop and maintain a bench of core, variable core, and flex talent to meet business goals. In collaboration with business units and their HR staff, the Director of HR also contributes to and supports the development of initiatives that enhance organizational capability and effectiveness, such as employee/career development, performance management, and succession planning. This role also requires a systems orientation and serves as HRIS administrator for the organization’s applicant tracking, onboarding, performance management, and learning management system, and may support other areas of human resources, such as benefits administration and total rewards.
Education and Experience: seeking a degreed, experienced professional with a BS/BA in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development; five years’ of demonstrated talent management or leadership/staff/organizational development experience with experience to include some combination of the following: recruitment, training/employee development, performance management, succession planning, or workforce planning/development and direct, multi-year ATS user or system administration/ configuration experience. Ultimate Software preferred. Knowledge and experience with benefits administration and/or total rewards a plus. Savvy social media recruitment skills and knowledge preferred.
