This role supports the sales department by performing customer demonstrations, completing test cuts, programming parts and offering applications support. The position is of a customer facing and technical nature and requires interaction with Customers, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Technical and Customer Service.

  • Program complex, 3-D Cad based 5 and 6-axis programs. Be able to cut precision 2, 3 and 5-axis parts using waterjet technology
  • Complete customer samples (test cuts), utilizing many different test parameters
  • Design, source and complete sample parts for marketing that showcase the capabilities of our process and our equipment
  • Document and catalog test results, complete customer communications, documentation and reports
  • Develop and document techniques and processes for cutting unfamiliar materials, parts and applications
  • Provide guidance and training to customers on the capabilities, application specific techniques, and optimization of their OMAX Waterjet System in person and remotely
  • Design, fabricate, & assemble prototype fixturing for application specific cutting
  • Keep a clean and professional work environment. Organize workspace, tools and other items in an exceptionally neat and tidy manner
  • Occasional travel to trade shows, distributor facilities and customer locations
  • Perform all other duties as deemed necessary by the department manager or supervisor


  • 2 year degree or equivalent, plus 2 years’ CAD/CAM
  • Knowledge of multiple platforms for 3D design
  • Preferred experience with Rhinoceros or Fusion 360
  • Graphic/Visual Design familiarity is a plus
  • Strong experience with machine tools and modern 3D CAD and CAM systems for multi-axis programming
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication, and mathematical (geometry and trigonometry) skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical, machinery, plumbing, & electrical experience/aptitude
  • Knowledge of measurement and inspection equipment (IE Micrometers, CMM, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze complex information and solve technical problems with minimal supervision
  • Desire to learn intricate details of complex software and hardware products
  • Demonstrated ability for creative thinking and a sense of urgency
  • Proficient in all operational aspects of Windows 10
  • Some form of programming knowledge/experience a plus
  • Minimum two (2) years of technical training, additional education or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must have good problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Capable of fast paced multi-tasking
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves to get wet and dirty
  • Friendly and upbeat personality
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
