: Reporting directly to the Human Resources organization, this role is responsible for the day-to-day direction and actions related to developmental training and skill development at each site. Will ensure alignment with overall developmental training strategy for the organization. In addition, will assist/back-up the site BHR.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Responsible for identifying site developmental training needs through gap analysis, building a developmental training roadmap and then implementing and monitoring the resulting training programs.
Support the following training efforts with the respective owners:
Talent Management (succession planning) analysis and action item identification for site personnel.
Develop and facilitate soft skills training.
Operation Excellence tools and initiatives such as the Supply Chain Front Line Leader development curriculums.
Performance Management training on key tools (growth plans, effective performance reviews, etc.).
Division-wide processes (onboarding, goals sharing, tool sharing etc.).
Serve as a consultant/change management resource for organizational initiatives as requested (competency assessments, etc.).
Serve as the liaison with Corporate Learning & Development and partner to evaluate and identify requirements based on site needs.
Development of shared training and development tools. Site Communication (web page creation / updates / additions, Café TV (Syman Vision), bulletin boards)
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or Psychology preferred or equivalent experience. This is required to provide the technical and administrative requirements needed to coordinate and conduct training in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements
Has proven experience as a trainer with a development focus.
Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.
Strong communication, presentation and public speaking skills.
Organizational and time management abilities.
Utilize strategic planning skills and long-range perspective in order to adequately prepare the organization for future demands.
Ability to develop and facilitate soft skills training, connect with all levels in the organization and have the ability to understand the organizational gaps and put plans in place to address.
Accountability / Scope/Budget:
Works under general supervision who reviews results for overall accuracy, completeness and soundness of technical judgment.
Decisions or recommendations would typically achieve department / site objectives.
Identifies training needs for the site and tracks effectiveness where applicable to ensure overall health of the training culture / tools.
