We are looking for an individual to tint or otherwise adjust coating batches to meet product and customer specifications without assistance.
Duties:
Small batch manufacture including loading and transport of raw materials and processing tanks, accurate weighing/measuring, and operation of industry standard paint/coating mills and liquid filling equipment.
Documentation of all batch data and test results.
Perform daily housekeeping of work areas and equipment cleaning, functioning within safety guidelines.
Document and maintain acceptable inventory levels of purchased and manufactured color dispersions and tint pastes.
Requirements:
Minimum high school education. Associate’s degree in Chemistry or other sciences or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
Candidate must be detail oriented, possess strong math aptitude, and have good communication and organization skills.
Must possess basic computer skills for data entry and utilization of corporate software packages.
Prior color matching experience including working knowledge of color matching equipment (spectrophotometers) and associated software.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as batch tickets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Regular and consistent attendance as scheduled.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Must pass a color test and math test.
Must be able to tolerate solvent odors and other chemicals used within the facility.
Previous experience in paint industry is a plus.
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
