Our client, a leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of hydraulic drive axles. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing you will be responsible for the sales of a an auxiliary hydraulic drive system to prospects in target on-highway market segments. This product is used by delivery trucks, material haulers, utility trucks, or emergency vehicles. This product allows vehicles to go from on-highway to off-highway with the flick of a switch.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Maintaining a good working knowledge of the latest market developments through customer contacts, magazines, newsletters, trade journals, and trade shows * * Calling on customers in the on-highway market segments including fleets, dealers, and modification centers.
* Maintaining knowledge of competitive products, pricing, lead times, and strategies
* Developing design proposals, including system performance data for customers
* Negotiating and initiating price increases and promotional programs to customers
* Attending and participating in trade shows

Your background should include:

* Bachelors degree in a technical field
* MBA a plus
* Minimum of 5 years of experience selling hydraulic components to the on-highway market
* MUST have experience selling to one of all of the following markets: fleets, dealers, and modification centers
* Extensive knowledge of hydraulic products
* Ability to work closely with engineering and operations
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Willingness to travel 50-60%, most of which is air travel

You can work out of a home office. No relocation is required. Prefer candidates who reside in the Midwest or on the East coast.
