The Quality Supervisor is responsible to assist in the development and maintenance of the quality management system and verifying the system compliance to customer and regulatory agency requirements. As part of the position they will perform internal and external quality system audits and assist with maintaining the companies corrective and preventative action system. In addition, they shall also assist in communicating product requirements and customer quality expectations for specific products. Work with Engineering to develop control plans, implement SPC, collect & analyze data. In addition the Quality Supervisor will be a team leader to analyze customer rejects, complete effective root cause analysis and manage related action items and provide improvement input for quality system changes. CMM operator is responsible to perform first piece, in process & final inspections on complex components with tight tolerances. They must have experience with CMM programming. They must ensure product is acceptable to blueprint tolerances and various specifications. The CMM Operator is also required to accurately document the results of product inspections and generate, as required, AS9102 documentation. They shall possess a strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerance. They shall be able to operate both manual & automatic CMMs.

WHAT DOES THIS JOB ENTAIL?

  • Manage, and monitor the status of the quality management system
  • Lead/assist with third party quality certification.
  • Audit all quality functions & initiate corrective and preventative actions and continual improvement as directed
  • Initiate required quality training & maintain training documentation
  • Monitor status of corrective and preventative actions and continual improvement projects.
  • Process internal & customer nonconformance issues and root cause analysis
  • Interface with departments and customers to resolve quality issues
  • Monitor statistical process results and identify deficiencies
  • Work with Engineering to develop product and process control plans
  • Assist in the data collection and analyses for corporate quality management review.
  • Monitor timeliness for all quality functions
  • Write CMM programs
  • Operate both manual & automatic CMMs
  • Perform first piece inspection and provide feedback of findings and/or opportunities for improvement to the foreman
  • Document all inspection results
  • Identify, document & report nonconforming product
  • Perform other quality related tasks as designated by the Inspection Foreman or Quality Manager
  • Calibrate gages

IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?

  • Minimum, high school degree or equivalent
  • 10 years experience in the quality assurance field
  • In depth knowledge of ISO and AS9100 quality systems
  • Fluent in GD&T and the application of AMSE Y14.5M
  • Ability to read and interpret product blueprints and military specifications.
  • Certified to perform AS9100 system auditing
  • Proficient written & oral communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Excel and Word experience.
  • 5 years of related inspection & CMM experience
  • Certification classes on CMM operation /ul>
