Lean Six Sigma Manager

A Successful and growing Global Medical Device-Pharmaceutical Industry Manufacturer has a unique opportunity for a Lean Manager within the Corporate Process Excellence program. This role is a Strategic Individual Contributor leading Lean Teams within the Process Excellence department and Cross-Functionally across the 63 plants World-Wide.

The Lean Manager will focus on creating new and improved processes to meet and exceed customer expectations, ensure that best practices and continuous improvement are embedded within the company culture, and will accelerate the Companys on-going Lean transformation.

This person will join others on the Corporate Team in serving as a Lean sensei or Lean Master. Experience in teaching and driving Lean thinking in operations is required. This person will design and deliver Lean-related training, mentor leadership and line Process Excellence personnel as they increase their mastery of Lean principles, and run large-scale process improvement projects throughout the company as they pertain to the Lean transformation.

Requirements

BS degree or equivalent degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other related field of study. MBA, MS or other technical graduate degree preferred



Experience:

7+ years of demonstrated history of Process l Excellence and process improvement implementation using Lean methods

Solid operations experience, particularly in applying lean thinking and Six Sigma tools and methodologies within a manufacturing environment to yield improvements in cost, quality, and delivery



Skills/Competencies:

- Extensive Lean implementation experience at plant and business levels

- Certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt

- Certified as a Lean Master or in Lean

- Experienced in deploying Lean and Six Sigma methods

- Strong training, coaching, and facilitation experience

- Solid past performance as a Project Manager and/or Kaizen Leader



LEAN EXPERTISE REQUIRED:

- Strategy Deployment and Hoshin Kanri

- World Class manufacturing principles

- Continuous flow and pull systems

- Value stream analysis

- Extensive experience leading Kaizen events that achieved value-stream level improvements (The Lean Manager must have led over 30 Kaizen Events)

- Has managed the transformation of multiple value streams, by organizing Kaizen events, projects, and organizational changes necessary to achieve a sustained transformation

- KPI performance management systems experience

- Must be a strong coach/teacher and have a strong track record of developing organizational and individual capabilities

- Ability to influence up, down and peers
